Behula Lakkhinder (Bogura, Bangladesh)

History of Behula: The bridal chamber of behula is situated at the south-west side of the village Gokul. This mounment is two km away from mohasthan Garh at the north position which is stand seven km from Bogura town at the south part. The high place which carries many incidents of love from age the age of past time is called the bridal chamber of Behula. It is called the iron bridal chamber of behula-lakkhinder. This bridal chamber is from Meer to Medth but at present it is known in the name of Archaeology. According to the Archaeo-logical department, it was built form 7th century to 12th century. The pillers of the monument are built of brick. it is round in size and slight bigger in the east west side. It is very hard to underst and the mystery of this great hill. There is also a cistern with four quadrangular above this piller and a well of 8th feet depth in midst of this cister.

Mainly man think that it is built by Raza Parchuram. It is full dusk well. It was built for the punishment of the criminals but some one said that it was built by Emperor Ashok. But in 1934-35 the british govt. reformation there has gotton a man skeletion in front of that cistern. There has gotton a stone under the well in the midest of that cistern. There has gotton a golden pot from one slit of it. The space of this pot is one inch square. There has drawn a picture of an ox on it. for this many men thinks that it was shib temple once upon a time. Then it was known by a chinese tourist named Hayen shaw, he wrote in a book that Gutam buddha has been stayed three months under Poundraw Burdhan (Mohasthan Garth). It was inferenced that the Buddhists are held in the religious assembly in this place. For this reason later in an uncertain time Emperor Ashok has built a memorial piller here. According to the present theorist. Mr. Debpall has built this monument in 809/847 B.C.


Above all of this is/was a complex question. But we can guess in this lot that once upon a time here was a bridal chamber of iron but in the next time that memorable piller has built in this place. So, This is/was known as a Bridal Chamber of Behula atiron. However, the bridal Chamber of Behula is a tourist center at present time. There are so much lessons/acquara knowladge has stayed so, please go and visit it.

At the last time, it is mentioned that with the history of Behula especially attested with the padma and the Chand Soudagar. The history of Behula as tragic as painful. So, it is mind that if any one stood here at the depth of mind might turn even today the tragic wailing of Behula has listened here.
